As key functional matrix leader in our global organization, you will be accountable for delivering product characterization, design and development services of R&D programs at Roche Diabetes Care (RDC). You will ensure that project priorities are clearly defined and that projects are running. You also manage the assignment of technical resources and diverse skill in the matrix organization to support Global DC RED as well as product development projects together with other functions in global R&D. You prepare for a seamless handoff of customer solutions to the Test and Validate organization. While ensuring technical excellence, you will be a catalyst for continuous improvements and grow relevant skill sets.
Furthermore you will be responsible for the following:
Improving speed to market, reducing costs, and assuring product quality within Global R&D
Supporting agile allocation of Global Design and Characterize resources while overseeing the definition of sound technical design within projects.
Providing and maintaining infrastructures required for R&D Design and Characterize
Building up and supporting the sustainable implementation of a successful global organization with more than 100 technical leaders and employees
Leading by example, inspiring and creating a growth oriented environment for people. Ensuring appropriate skills and continuing education for Global Design and Characterize staff.
Maintaining robust communications with senior Global R&D and Executive Business Leadership teams and/or strategic external partner service organizations.
Proposing and implementing strategies to enhance engagement and organizational efficiency in collaboration with key internal partners and stakeholders.
Partnering with Global and/or site specific HR and Finance to successfully implement and maintain organizational structure, resource strategy and budget.

You are an experienced leader in global environments with at least 10 years of functional leadership experience and exceptional communication skills.
In addition you will bring the following skills and experience:
Master Degree in technical discipline required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
Undergraduate and/or post graduate background in the biological and/or engineering sciences preferred.
Demonstrated business and scientific acumen; strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
More than 15 years of experience in leading R&D projects, +10 years leadership experience in a global environment and strong intercultural competences
Experience in working in an agile environment and extended agile project management skills
Understanding and knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices
Strong strategic and leadership ability for a large organization with proven capability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
Demonstrated leadership, including active listening, coaching and mentoring skills
Extended communication skills, solution orientation, and ability to influence and inspire people
Ability to think strategically, independently, creatively, and purposefully while managing multiple global projects skill sets and respective deliverables

The position is based in Mannheim with travel requirements up to 50% internationally.

As product manager of Kadcyla you work in a matrix structure. In close cross-functional coordination you identify opportunities and risks and develop a successful marketing mix. Regular analysis of the breast cancer market are just as much your responsibility as the largely independent creation of patient and customer journeys for the indication.
You also define key success factors for the indication and support the implementation of the product strategy and the implementation of the corresponding measures.
Furthermore, your tasks include:
√Coordination of the national product team consisting of representatives of the different field service functions in close consultation with the medical manager and the marketing manager
√Implementation of the international marketing strategy in the German market In-house and field service training on marketing strategy and product promotion, working closely with field staff
√Planning and creating the promotional material in close coordination with the product and fire teams as well as independent cooperation with advertising and PR agencies
√Responsible for the quantitative and qualitative marketing budget planning / fulfillment
Desired Skills and Experience
√You have a degree in science, medical or business administration
√At least two years of field experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well as a proven basic knowledge of marketing.
√Your English language skills are good in spoken and written.
√You have good contact and communication skills
