Handles sales of Varian’s 360 Oncology software solutions in the assigned territories.
Handles both direct sales and support for the local area sales managers where a 360 Oncology system is a component of a wider equipment or software solution offer.
Prepares quotations and tenders based on specifications and price lists and in close co-operation with regional and local sales managers as appropriate.
Maintains frequent contact with existing and potential customers, by organizing product demonstrations for customers, attending symposia and meetings and assessing their requirements.
Develops and maintains relationships with relevant Government Health Service and private bodies.
Collects customer, industry and competitor information in order to report business needs and monthly forecasts and makes recommendations for the development of business and market strategies.
Maintains information on all customers and products.
Builds productive internal/external working relationships
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience). – a Master’s in business administration (MBA) would be an asset
Education in software engineering or business management with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
Demonstrable experience in the sale of software solutions within the healthcare industry with a solid track record of success. A marketing/product management or consulting background in the oncology or broader healthcare industry will also be considered.
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to articulate a value proposition to senior executives within a healthcare organisation is essential. This includes the ability to communicate financial information including the preparation and presentation of ROI models.
The candidate will need to gain a sound understanding and application of contract structuring, composition and contract negotiation and application of VMS business processes and procedures. This will include the production of detailed quotations and financial proposals that will be negotiated with the customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are therefore essential.
Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset.
Extensive travel 60 – 70% throughout EMEIA as per defined territory
